This is a great photo. This is a species of damselflies and this one in particular is called a Familiar Bluet. Check out my post on the same insect:
that’s fascinating, and all new to me. I’m still at the stage of realising that (1) they are active only when the sun is not blocked by cloud and (2) they are so fast that my only hope is to focus on a lily-pad and wait. thanks for identifying them for me.
